Researchers find a gene that impacts reading ability in children. Reading difficulties may be related to a DNA change that makes it tougher for a child to properly see words and letters. While this change does not affect intelligence, it can impact performance, and therefore self esteem. Knowing about this gene can help structure a positive learning environment.

The milkshake test reveals a genetic influence on whether you feel full after eating. The scientists postulate that this may account for why some people eat more of the same kinds of foods than others, which makes keeping weight under control more challenging.
